Moulded leather passive retention - the leather, unlike hard polymer, doesn't need to catch around a trigger guard, but instead, cushions in around the whole gun, eliminating any and all play on the holstered gun.

In terms of maintenance:

All EL PASO's products come varnished out of the factory - treatment is only necessary once you notice that the holster starts looking dull - at this point, you can use linseed oil or liquid paraffin for treating the leather.

SINGER ALL PURPOSE OIL - 80ML

Is also a lovely option for treating oil, as it is mineral based, we understand.
DO NOT use DUBBIN as this will block the pores of the leather and causes the thread stitching to start rotting.
